PiXYZ STUDIO can import a wide range of CAD file formats from industry-leading solutions and standards (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Alias, STEP, IGES...), and tessellated/mesh file formats (FBX, OBJ, JT…).

Additionally, PiXYZ STUDIO can also export tessellated/mesh file formats (FBX, glTF, USD…).

(1) For legal reasons, a valid license for Autodesk Alias must be installed on the same computer on which you installed PiXYZ STUDIO. Thus, the *.WIRE format is not directly included in your license. Please contact us at contact@pi.xyz to add this format to your license (available only for purchased licenses).

(2) Available only for PiXYZ STUDIO.batch. Requires Autodesk VRED to be installed (with a valid license) on the same computer on which PiXYZ STUDIO.batch is running.

(3) Only geometries for the moment (no variants, animation, etc).

(4) BREP import (currently under Dev/beta) is available through the "Alternative Importer" option.

(5) Point Clouds can only be visualized and used as reference in PiXYZ STUDIO: no optimization algorithms available for now. Coming soon!


NOTE                The "Alternative Importer" parameter gives the possibility to import some formats using a different importer, if the default one does not give satisfaction. More information in the Preferences topic.
