Supported Formats
Pixyz solutions can import a wide range of CAD file formats from industry-leading solutions and standards (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Alias, STEP, IGES...), and tessellated/mesh file formats (FBX, OBJ, JT…).

(1) For legal reasons, Autodesk Alias has to be installed (with a valid license) on the same computer on which Pixyz Plugin is running. A path to the Alias executable has to be entered in the preferences.
(2) You will need Autodesk Recap SDK installed on the same computer on which Pixyz Plugin is running. A path to the Bin folder has to be entered in the preferences. Please refer to this page on how to get it.
(3) For legal reasons, Autodesk VRED Pro or VRED Design has to be installed (with a valid license) on the same computer on which Pixyz Plugin is running. A path to the VRED executable has to be entered in the preferences.
(4) Only geometries for the moment (no variants, animation, etc).
NOTE Some file formats are already supported by Unity. It is still possible to use Pixyz to import such files for better performances or if the Unity importer fails. However, such formats can't be imported using Pixyz if they are placed in the Asset folder. The user must use the Pixyz > Import Model menu to proceed.
