PiXYZ PIPELINE is a solution allowing to build the perfect strategy for automatically optimizing 3D models quickly and efficiently. It is a flexible offer that can be seamlessly integrated into your process.

PiXYZ Software helps you tailoring the best data preparation strategies that suit your needs, with On demand service. Then run these strategies with PiXYZ compute nodes to automatically process large sets of files, and obtain ready-to-use assets or virtual scenes.

With PiXYZ PIPELINE, you can shorten data preparation time and lessen effort. It allows you to focus on successfully staging your optimized assets/scenes for building compelling virtual experiences.

1. CREATE YOUR DATA PREP STRATEGIES


With the support of PiXYZ Software, tailor srategies to address all your use cases for 3D data preparation and optimization. All PiXYZ core algorithms can be used to obtain perfectly optimized 3D models, from almost any 3D formats.

PiXYZ PIPELINE can also be used up to building ready-to-use experiences based on the optimized assets it processed (see the From CAD to WebGL example below).

2. PROCESS YOUR FILES


Run your strategy in PiXYZ compute nodes to process large sets of files automatically, through a custom interface especially built for each strategy.

3. GET YOUR 3D MODELS AND/OR SCENES


Get your optimized and ready-to-use 3D models and/or complete scenes.

Strategies examples: CATIA to Unity, NX to 3ds Max, Solidworks to WebGL, PLM to PiXYZ REVIEW, VRED to VRED with 3D models optimization and material auto-assignment, etc.

PIPELINE WORKFLOW EXAMPLE

Here is a workflow example for automatic WebGL content creation using PiXYZ PIPELINE. It shows how you can convert a 3D model to a WebGL-ready asset.

TESSELLATION

PiXYZ Tessellator creates high quality, low density meshes from almost any CAD model. It provides efficient and very fast tessellation, thanks to smarter organization of vertices. It results in a highly reduced and optimized number of polygons.

DEFEATURING

PiXYZ can remove specific features from a CAD model e.g. through holes, blind holes and soon, fillets and chamfers. It removes targeted features, depending on the input settings.

DECIMATION

PiXYZ trimming solution reduces the polygon density of a mesh by deleting vertices. It allows for precise control and perfect preservation of model topology, normals distortion and texture coordinates (UVW).

HIDDEN REMOVAL

PiXYZ can remove non-visible (from a spherical camera) parts, polygons or patches. The Smart Hidden Removal function deletes parts, patches or polygons not viewed from a set of cameras automatically generated.

REPAIR FUNCTIONS

PiXYZ offers CAD and Mesh repair features, such as CAD topology correction, removal of duplicated faces/patches, face reconnection, polygon reconnection, normals/faces orientation unification, etc…

FULL SCENE TREE - SCENE TREE MANAGING

Access to the original product hierarchy (full scene tree) and dedicated functions with which to optimize it.
